John Yard

John is an acknowledged expert on outsourcing and Relationship management having managed the Inland Revenue’s original outsource to EDS & the recompetition and subsequent transition to Capgemini.  Most of his Public sector career has been spent as a Senior Civil Servant, working at Board level, with extensive experience of managing Business change.As the former CIO of the Inland Revenue he has a wide experience of ICT as well as Programme and Project management.  Since leaving the Public sector John has worked as a freelance consultant working on a number of Mission Critical Programmes, including Health, Fire, Defra and the FCO. John is also a fully accredited OGC Gateway high-risk team leader and reviewer.
